INGREDIENTS
- 2 pound split chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 2 teaspoon fresh Crushed black pepper, to taste
- Kosher salt, to taste
- 1 cup all-purpose flour, for Coating
- Sliced green onions for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
· Step 1
Heat a saucepan on medium heat. Add the olive oil and stir in the garlic. Cook until the garlic is lightly browned.
· Step 2
Add the tomato sauce, chile-garlic sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, Honey and stir it well. Lower the heat and simmer the sauce until thickened. Store it aside.
· Step 3
Soak the chicken wings, pat them dry. Season the chicken with black pepper & salt. Coat the wings in flour and remove excess flour. Store it aside.
· Step 4
Heat the oil to about 375° in a large saucepan or deep fryer. Fry the chicken wings until golden brown.
Shake the excess oil, place on paper towel & drain.
· · Step 5
Toss the chicken wings in the chile-garlic sauce and garnish with green onions and serve.
